YOUTH WORK IRELAND LAOIS WISHES TO ENGAGE THE SERVICES OF AN ART
THERAPIST.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
The Board of Directors of YWI Laois CLG. The successful candidate will
report to the Regional Manager.
LOCATION:
To be based in Youth Work Ireland Laois, Portlaoise, Co.Laois.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide Assessment and Art Therapy to teenagers in YWI Laois on a
specific purpose contract to complete individual sessions and group
therapy from June- December **Apply on the website**.
NOTE:
This post is not an employment post. The therapist will be
self-employed, will be paid a fee per session, and will be responsible
for paying his or her own income tax.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Be an accredited Art Therapist
* A recognised postgraduate qualification in Art therapy
* Have 3 years? experience working in Art therapy
* A recognised third level qualification in psychology, social
work,psychotherapy, counselling, teaching, early childhood care and
education or related field.
* Experience of multi-disciplinary team working and signposting
* Experience of screening clients for suitability for support
* Report writing abilities
* Excellent communication skills with youth
* Ability to Plan
* Flexibility
* IT Skills
* Full clean drivers licence and use of own car
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
* A comprehensive knowledge of child development
* Experience of working with vulnerable children in a youth mental
health setting
* Experience of working with teenagers
